ITINARARY: Bishkek – Belogorka – Burana – Kochkor – Son Kul lake – Bishkek
Day 1: Bishkek – Belogorka gorge – Bishkek (130 km)
Arrival at the International “Manas” Airport. Jannat travel representative meets you at arrivals. Transfer to the city. The drive takes approximately 40 min. Arrival to the city of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan with a population of about over one million people. At an elevation of 700-900 m above sea level.
Before lunch, you will explore Bishkek starting from Central Square Ala-Too, Monument of the National Hero Manas, Statue of Lenin, Kurmanzhan Datka Monument, Oak Park, Old Square with Parliament House.
Afternoon, you will travel to Belogorka Gorge on the north side of the city in the massive mountain range. In this amazing gorge, there are several hiking paths. One of them is easy and leads to beautiful waterfall. You will definitely take stunning pictures of waterfall and the landscape. Afterwards, have a picnic with the view of the magnificent mountains. Return to Bishkek and overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek – Burana – Kochkor (215 km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today the days starts from visiting fast-moving Asian Bazaar, one of the famous in Kyrgyzstan, where the diversity of things from fresh fruit to shoes repair person sitting in the row during your tour. After exploring and taking colorful pictures, depart to Kochkor village. On the way, we will visit Burana Tower – middle age minaret, built in Balasagun town – the capital of Karakhanid State (IX-XI AD). Explore ruins of that important trading point at the Great Silk Road and visit a little local museum and a collection of Balbals, Turkic ancient stone sculptures. After excursion, drive through beautiful Boom gorge to Kochkor – the pleasant, leafy town overlooked by snow-capped mountains is a base for excursions into the high country and the people are mostly friendly and welcoming. Kochkor is also the motherland of the traditional felt carpets and there you will see and participate in the process of making shyrdak (carpets). This carpet was listed into the UNESCO’s material heritage. Night in a family homestay.
Day 3: Kochkor – Son Kul Lake (160 km)
After breakfast, you will drive up to the alpine lake Son Kul. Son Kul – the second biggest lake in the country at the altitude of 3016m above sea level. It is a place where nomads live in a traditional simplicity, bringing their cattle for summer pastureland. It is a great opportunity to spend time with friendly nomad families, to taste their fresh airan (yoghurt) and kymys (a fermented national drink made of mare’s milk) to enjoy a breathtaking view and a beautiful sunset. During summer time, Kyrgyz shepherds come up to graze their livestock and enjoy the pasture life. Local shepherds make national drink Kymyz. Upon arrival, you will have free time to enjoy and relax in the amazing beauty of Son Kul Lake. Night will be in the traditional nomadic yurts. It is a portable dwelling consist of wooden carcass and felt coverage. Night in a yurt camp.
Optionally: You can ride horses (extra cost) or hike to explore the area and enjoy the peaceful and picturesque landscapes. You can also enjoy watching horseback riding transitional games (extra cost).
Day 4: Son Kul Lake – Bishkek (330 km)
After breakfast, drive to Bishkek by the most beautiful road back. It is 33 parrots pass, which has a breathtaking view and reaches over 3000 meters above the sea level. When you go down via 33 serpentine road, you will make a short stop to visit a waterfall. Arrival in Bishkek in the afternoon. Night in a hotel.
Day 5: Bishkek – Airport (30 km)
In the morning, your guide and driver will accompany you to the airport. End of your tour.

Please have in mind that the summer in Bishkek can be hot. The temperature can reach up to + 38-39 C. and up in the mountains it can decrease to below 0 C. The weather in the mountainous areas is unpredictable.
You can take anything you like but here is our recommendation to take with: Rain-coat, fleece, Wind-stopper, Hat, Sun-block cream, Bathing suit, Sunglasses. Trekking boots for easy hikes in the mountains. Personal first aid kit and hygiene kit.
