Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Combined

ITINERARY: Bishkek – Ala-Archa – Toktogul – Sary Chelek – Arslanbob – Uzgen – Osh – Uzbekistan – Tashkent – Samarkand – Bukhara – Tashkent.

Day 1. Arrival to Kyrgyzstan. Airport – Bishkek – Ala-Archa National Park – Bishkek (120 km)

Arrival at the International ‘Manas’ Airport. “Jannat Travel” representative meets you at arrivals. Transfer to the city. Early check in is included. The drive takes approximately 40 min. Arrival to the city of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan with a population of about over one million people, at an elevation of 700-900 m above sea level.

Check in at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Little rest after breakfast and start tour in Bishkek and surroundings. Firstly, we drive to the natural park Ala-Archa for a light walk, relaxing and meeting the nature of Kyrgyzstan. After walking, transfer back to Bishkek and have a light half day city tour. Visit Central Square Ala-Too, Monument of the National Hero Manas, Statue of Lenin, Kurmanzhan Datka Monument, Oak Park, Old Square with Parliament House, Opera House, Victory Square dedicated to the WWII.

Dinner in a restaurant. Overnight in a hotel.


Day 2. Bishkek – Toktogul (340 km)

After breakfast we travel to Toktogul – water reservoir. Toktogul Reservoir is actually the largest water reservoir in Central Asia. It’s 284 square kilometers, reaches 215 meters deep on average, and is an integral part of the hydroelectric power industry in Kyrgyzstan. The road travels through the southern part of Kyrgyzstan. During the journey be prepared for amazing views of impressive mountains and gorges. Today you will see the panoramic views of Too-Ashuu pass which is more than 3 000 meters high. This road is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Kyrgyzstan. You will have many opportunities for photo stops to remember this day. Lune n route in Chychkan valley. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse at the reservoir.


Day 3. Toktogul – Sary Chelek (170 km)

After breakfast drive to Sary Chelek. Sary Chelek lake is situated in the center of a National reserve, at the foot of the Chatkal mountain range, at an altitude of 1,873 m above sea level. The lake is 234 m deep, 2,280 m wide and 7,500 m long. It appeared as a result of a strong earthquake. Its sweet water is so clear, that multicolored stones at the bottom of the lake and darting, timid fish are in full view. Lunch, dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in Arkit village. Arkyt village is the nearest village to Sary-Chelek. The area known for its many plum trees along the roads and its beautiful nature.

Day 4. Sary Chelek – Arslanbob (210 km)

After breakfast drive to Arslanbob. Arslanbob is a village, sub district, valley, mountain range, and a large wild walnut forest in the Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. Arslanbob’s grove produces 1500 tons of walnuts per year and is the largest single natural source of walnuts in the world. Kyrgyzstan’s first known export to Europe was the Arslanbob walnut. The walnut forest is within the 60,000 hectares’ forest situated between the Fergana and Chatkal Mountains. The walnut forest is located at altitudes varying between 1,500 – 2,000 m above sea level on the Fergana range’s south-facing slopes. Lunch, dinner and overnight in a homestay.

Day 5: Arslanbob

The whole day is devoted for a tour for exploring famous walnut forest Arslanbob, the total area is about 11, 000 hectares and located on the slopes of mountain, which makes it even more beautiful for travelers. It is believed that nuts from this area were brought to the other parts of the world during the Silk Road. Except walnut trees, there are many other berry trees in the forest, the largest in Kyrgyzstan. You will have wonderful hike by visiting waterfall. The scenery is magnificent. You can also meet friendly local people. Dinner and night in a homestay.

Day 6: Arslanbob –  Uzgen –  Osh (180 km)

Today after breakfast you will depart to Osh, the second biggest city of Kyrgyzstan. Osh is Kyrgyzstan’s southern capital, and one of the oldest cities in the country. With a history estimated to stretch back 3000 years, Osh has long been a central city in the Fergana Valley. Osh has also been historically significant in many different eras, from being home to a large. En route visit the archeological and architectural complex of Uzgen. It is remains of the old city of Karahanids during 11th century which you will see during your travel. The complex consists of several mausoleums and one minaret, beautifully decorated in brick art. After continue driving to Osh, upon arrival to Osh you can visit Suleiman Too Mount. According to the legend, Suleiman Too is famous as a Solomon’s Mountains. Suleiman Too is one of the main shrines of the Islamic world in Central Asia. Dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 7: Osh – Tashkent (380 km)

After breakfast, travel to Tashkent by mini bus. Tashkent is the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan, as well as the most populous city in Central Asia, with a population of about 2,517,000.  It is in northeastern Uzbekistan, near the border with Kazakhstan. Arrive to Tashkent by 12:00. Have lunch in the famous Plov Center. After lunch you will go on a city tour, visit Architectural complex Hasti Imam, Barak Khan Madrasah, Kafal Shohi Madrasah, Kukeldash Madrasah, Chorsu bazaar, Independence Square, Amir Temur Square. Dinner in a local restaurant.

Night in a hotel.


Day 8. Tashkent – Samarkand. (300 km)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner included

After breakfast departure to Samarkand by train high-speed strain.

Samarkand city was one of the main commercial centers of the Silk Road during centuries.

Visit Registan Square, Ulughbek Madrasah (15th c.), Shir-Dor Madrasah (17th c.), Tilla-Kori Madrasah (17th c.). Also visit Islam Karimov memorial complex and continue to Architectural complex Shakhi-Zindeh (11-15th c.) – The necropolis of Shah-I Zindah (Persian for “living king”) is revered as a memorial to Kusam-ibn-Abbas, a cousin of the Prophet Mohammad. Lunch and dinner in local cafes.

Day 9. Samarkand – Bukhara.  (270 km)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner included

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast, we continue our excurtion in Samarcand city: Guri Emir Mausoleum (the tomb of Tamerlan(14-15th c.), Museum of the ancient city Afrosiyob, Bibi-Khonum Mosque, Siab bazaar, Ulughbek Observatory.

In the afternoon drive to Bukhara.

Bukhara is the ancient historic center of trade and Islamic culture in Uzbekistan. This city is the ancient oasis and trade point on Silk Road. Bukhara attracts with its impressive historical monuments, minarets and madrassas, narrow streets lined with oriental bazaars and ancient ruins. There is no doubt why the center of the ancient city of Bukhara has been declared by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

Dinner in a restaurant and overnight in the hotel.

Day 10. Bukhara. Full day

Breakfast in the hotel. City tour in Bukhara: Ismael Samani Mausoleum – the tomb of representatives of Samanids’ jeweler at the end of 9 – beginning of 10 c.), Chashma Ayub Mausoleum (Spring of Job – 14 c.), Bolo-Hauz Mosque (beginning of 20 c.), Citadel Ark (4 c.) – city in a city, Poi Kalon Ensemble (Pedestal of the Great), religious heart of Sacred Bukhara, consists of Minaret Kalon (12 c.), Miri Arab Madrassah (16 c.),  Ulugbek’s Madrassah (1417), Magoki-Attori Mosque (dated 12-15 c.), Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble (dated 14-17 centuries).

Free time: we advise you to visit Bukhara Dome Bazaars (dated 15-16 c.): Toki Saraffon (the Dome of Moneychangers), Toki-Telpak Furushon (the Dome of Cap makers), Toki Zargaron (the Dome of Jewelers) and Tim Abdullakhan (the Center of silk).

Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in a hotel.


Day 11. Bukhara – Tashkent. (560 km)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner included

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, transfer to Tashkent by high-speed train. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Tashkent city.

Day 12. Tashkent – Airport.

Breakfast included

In the morning transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home. End of the tour.
